Japan tightening shipping rule on speakers

Went to send a set of sharp 777 speakers to a member on here today
The PO refuses to send
I have heard of proxy companies refusing to send boomboxes before
and i have seen no magnets on the list but seemed to get away with it
and never had a problem until today
Havnt sent a whole boombox for a while but that also may get difficult

I got caught by this policy a couple of year back. The magnets thing is confusing.

+1 a few years ago they stopped shipping plain speakers.

I didn’t get a warning at all. I was told after auction that I couldn’t use the usual shipping option (there were 4 or so back then) I had to use
1. The most expensive one.
2. Send to a Japanese address
3. Have the box disposed of.

So they really had a gun to my head. In the end I had the box shipped to Geoff’s address.
