I've never been a fan of Emerson, but what do you think?

This has come up for sale locally. I have always stayed away from emerson brand. Not sure why really - but is there anything you can tell me abou this Emerson CTR 949? How it sounds, cool features, year, etc?

PS, if you can't tell, it is a one piece box.

Haven't had contact with any Emersons since the 80's but the ones I did back then were all of low quality and poor sound.

Good point, great for an everyday boomer.

It figures that you would have one just like it

I like the Emerson brand just for the very stylised look of some of their (or rebadged) models. Love this, it's one of my favourite non-traditional looking ghettoblasters.

Doesn't sound exceptionally awesome, but sometimes your gotta go for the ghetto over the blaster.

Jump on her Blu! For $10 she'll be well worth the effort.

Rock On.
