The 7980 is home and fully functioning. Eric you are amazing. Thank you for all your time and effort. Everything looks and sounds great. This boomer was destined to be a parts box but Eric brought it back from the dead....and then some. It still has some things that need to be worked on....screw posts and such...but Eric did all the hard stuff. Truly truly amazing. I haven't been this happy in quite some time.

Special shout out to my man Joe aka blu_fuz...this never would have happened without you either. Thank you my friend.

I know most of you saw Caution's videos and pics in the "it ain't easy" thread but I had to throw a few pics up. One pic in particular is of something I added out of respect and appreciation and so everyone knows who's responsible for this bad boy blastin again. That sticker is not coming off.

I don't think anyone will know what kind of effort went into this box. Full recap, led tuner, new tuner glass, boards amp chips all repaired and/or replaced. Both tape decks work...I never even thought that was possible...the damn tape door was broken off completely! The LEDs spin when the tape 1 is playing...which is fn amazing to me. New dayton tweeters. The list goes on and on.
I am just totally floored.

I can't even explain how happy I am for you for this to be blasting again. You know why you deserved it? All because you gave up your lower cassette door to ME because I f'd mine up. What a difference a few buds can make in eachother's life and collection.

Mad props to Caution for taking it all the way.

Very,very nice job to all involved!She looks really good.I bet she sounds good too.Now its time to make a sizeable investment in Duracell's or Energizer Max's and wake up the neighborhood!!!
