Yes! Actually, if this is possible (and we know it is) they are tuned differently. The Blockbuster is actually punchier. The speakers are slightly different as well which more than likely is the major contributing factor. :-)

Yes there is. Sansui was notorious for under rating their equipment. The CP-7 and baby brother CP-5 are both rated at 13w RMS per channel. This is a joke. I have measured the CP-5 at 1dB test signal continuous showing about 17w RMS. The CP-7 (after some adjusting ofthe internals to get her right again) ran 22w RMS.

The CP-7 has much tighter bass and is not as loose as the CP-5 which uses a bass reflex system. Either way you don't lose and you have to really know the systems to know the difference power wise. Sound wise it's obvious. But, as I said, both are winners with a warm balanced sound. The CP-7 being tighter with the passive radiator because the woofer can't bounce as much as in a bass reflex system. :-D :yes:
