I really love the 918.Its appearance is understated.Its good looking in a refined sort of way.The tuner window is artfully done and its numbers look almost like script against a beautiful shade of blue.It has a very good build quality for a Lasonic.

It is definitely a rock box to my ears.The highs seem to bring out guitar well highlighting their different types of sound. Bass is quality though a bit lacking for music requiring alot of it on balance.I really like this box.It has an exciting sound for a box of its size!

Which one is the rarer of the two? The only difference I see are the tweeter grilles.

The 918's are
Lasonic overbuilt this box before they realized they could make bigger boxes with lighter duty parts.

The rare one (Ira's) looks better due to those awesome chrome tweeter grilles/covers. TRC-918's just look amazing, I love the grid design around the centre section! :sin:
