So it's been now a year a 4 months since my first boombox find of a jvc rc838 which a lady gave me for free for helping her clear out some stuff in her garage.
Thought to myself I had some childhood tapes somewhere and now had a method of listening to them. So I pulled them out listened to them all instantly wanted more all the tapes I could get my hands on.
Few hours later I find myself searching google images of radios no clue about brands or what's good and what's not but 1thing I did know was I wasn't stopping with a rc838. So here's the collection currently missing from my family photo is my Clairtone 7980 which is being serviced. So I added a photo alongside the familyIMG_4571.JPGIMG_2808.JPG

Dang! You got most of the heavy hitters out of the way fast and first! Great collection and nice variety.

I think I've got maybe 15 boxes that amount to 6 different models. I have a hard time finding variety locally

Thanks so much guys I've had some go like doubles and what not I've actually had 4 rc838s over the last year of which I kept the free one that started it all eventho it wasn't the nicest it's the first one to spark the collection and Canada seems to be really good for radios on our buy and sell or garage sales if your patient and act really fast when one pops up on my list of wants now are
Gf1000 likely will be my 1 and only eBay purchased box
Conion tc-999/c126f
Sanyo m-x920

And literally last because it's not a sound thing it's a visual only box the stupid ass disco I say stupid because I've been following every auction I see and the prices they fetch are ridiculous anyone who has one locally will say ...... this is what they sell for on eBay which usually prompts me to just walk away

Wait who am I kidding there's a few more I would add to my wants list but the ones listed will come first

Looks like Canada is beatbox heaven. You should think about exporting some
It's hard once I get my hands on one I want to keep it the problem tho shipping larger boxes is a giant risk and shipping costs are insane recently cost me 57$ to ship 17 VHS tapes to the states I can only imagine a 30 pound boombox
