I'm not sure about that one but can give general pointers:
A good box will have a line in and a line out in the back, and maybe ext mic and ext speaker outputs and phono input.
Good boxes are usually heavy.

Oh I see the sanyo name now, good sign. It's not an Emerson At least

generally speaking , a good box will have the namebrand in chrome- with raised lettering. Avoid stick on or painted brand names like emerson or yorx.

For $38 go get it. I have the Sanyo C40 same as that one but with double cassette and it sounds not bad.

It looks like it says 'Line In" on the the top of the one 3-way switch, so that's always good as restocat pointed out. It looks pretty cool and I would get it, if it's in good working order. My TV in the bedroom is a Sanyo and about the same age as well. It still works great, but it doesn't have a line in.

It has excellent mids and highs but you might find it a bit bass shy.It's a very clean sounding box and lighter than I expected mine to be.
