i bought this cheap insignia HD radio boombox at goodwill for $15
but it does not have any tone controls at all
i wonder if there would be a way to add them
like how they have EQs for car radios that hook to the speaker wires on the radio and then you hook your speakers to the EQ20200824_175749.jpg20200824_175754.jpg20200824_175806.jpg

You could do the same thing with a home eq just run the line into the eq from your source then line out from the eq to the line in on the boombox.

I could actually make the m70 sound much better this way, great idea homie :beer2:

if only there were a way of soldering a walkman eq into the m70 then i would have no issues using the m70

someone did this about 15 years ago and they were very happy with the results

Have to disagree hopey..sorry...i have had dozens of amplifiers and none sounded good without at least 1 good graphic eq

although adding a graphic eq to a boombox maybe overkill and it is probably best to buy a better boombox

Graphic Equalisers are just a marketing trick Bass and Treble is all you need and if you have good drivers a flat signal is best.

The problem with this radio is the drivers not the amp or eq.

I agree a simple bass treble control is the best.
