hello, I will soon receive a similar device. Do you think it fits in the boombox category? Thank you

Yes, it can run on internal batteries and I have been on the fence about buying one of these as I was once impressed by my college friend buying one in 1968.

Is it a BB? Definately not, it's a portable music system, you can't walk around with this playing (on batteries) as the inward facing speakers would have to be attached to the unit. Mind you, you could let the speakers dangle around your neck but remember to use the Tape or Radio function only........................... :-D

Please don't let my comments put you off, especially when there's a much better - and later model which is super cool: the SANYO G-2615N. If I was to buy any model in the range (and I probably will) it would be the super-cool SANYO G-2615N.

It's not so much a 'businessman' model but rather a 007 Super Spy!

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Wow, that's quite a BB to be seriously proud of. As I scrolled through the images I was looking for a pin-head sized aperture where the ol' poison dart came out! :-D  Seriously, that's an impressive piece of equipment neatly disguised.
