Hi, i know some people was asking about Ira, Redbenjoe. I spoke to him today and he said he's doing fine, he did say he doesn't have boxes anymore because he's in his 80s, he said he hopes all of you are well.

Ira sold me my first "large" box when I started collecting. A Sharp GF-777. I want to say that was around 2009 on Ebay. Great guy and legend in the boombox community. I wish him the best!

That's great news!! I have a great Sony walkman I purchased from Ira and he convinced me that dealing with members here is the most secure way of dealing with vintage audio. I've completely shunned Ebay now

Hope he's doing well! It's hard to believe but I was a really young pup when these guys were schooling me on cool boomboxes and Walkmans. Radio you have to quit buying those Mickey Mouse Boxes!

I refuse to believe that Ira has no more radios he probably is just too old he don't want to mess around With anything other than retirement When he came to my house I think they were on their way back from Atlantic City and they've drove from Florida to Atlantic city and then they stopped at my house on the way back. One thing's for sure a during that brief visit when I showed him what my custom boomboxes could do compared to a factory Boombox the bewilderment set in.
