so I've had the ion boombox deluxe for nearly 5 years and its been consistent with being a fun little ghettoblaster. I cosplay as a Miles Morales costume with the boombox. I know mainly the speakers are 8 ohm and the cosmetics on the outside leave more to be desired inside. However, I still want to customize it for the fun. kinda get a kick outta making cool props. Just curious though has anyone ever customized any of these kind of novelty boomboxes? studebaker, ion, any of these funky brands? All I really want to do is just smooth out the sound with some pioneers or subtle car speakers, and well give it a solid paint job.
