Ion Audio Street Rocker at CES 2019

Threre's not much info available yet on this product other than it's Bluetooth connectivity and can play and record to cassette and convert your old tapes to USB. It doesn't look like much, but it's still great to see another retro styled boombox coming to the market.

Wow.....Definitely the most accurate looking "retro" box yet! They actually used some chrome trim and an old-school handle.
Dual VU meters too!
I'm surprised they went to all this effort on such a small box.

ION is a good brand they make a nice Bluetooth cassette.

It almost appears to me that in the OP photo that the box is hollow with no internals. You can see the rear case vent holes through the speaker grills

That's probably made by Rising Electronics Limited, I believe. They have a fair few models, they'll whip up for whomever has the cabbage. The minimum order is something like a thousand units. They put your brand name on it and wa laa! Your in the boombox buizz. I remember the exact title of their website,its www.rising electronics.com check it out. You'll likely see a fair few boxes you recognize. Pretty cool stuff.

No surprise, given that everything's digital now. Requires a lot less space.

I was thinking Panasonic too.

Curious if it'll actually have Am/FM or if the plate is just for looks.

$249 for that tiny thing? You could get a GPO or a refurbished Aiwa EXOS9 for that price.
