So just picked this rare model up. Looks very nice with the original blue speaker grills. fm stations are hard to lock but I do pick up a few. I can pick up for example 94.3 at 92 on the dial with fm stereo light. Then if I move to other side of dial to 102.3 then back to 94.3 it's now around 96. When I do find a station it tends to hold it for a while across the dial as opposed to picking up the station right next to it. Moving the dial slow gets better response to signal than zipping across the dial. First time dealing with this issue after dozens of radios. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a very easy to work on box. Cassette door cover should be removed. Make sure to remove the cassette door internal screws.
From what I could understand I believe the dial cord must be slipping.
Open the box and see if it slipped away from any of the pulleys. If all looks good you can tighten the tuning cord tension on the main big drum pulley on the tuner gang condenser by reattaching the spring to the next tighter position slot on it. There will be a minimum of 3 or 4 holes the spring can go to tighten the cord.
