Interesting situation/Clairtone 7978

[SIZE=16pt]This popped up on Ebay last night and I bought it right away for 150 bucks and 15 bucks shipping. Dude says it’s in great condition. He’s a Ebay newbie but I figured it was worth the risk.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=16pt]About an hour later I get this email from the seller (my personal inbox not my Ebay inbox)[/SIZE]

[SIZE=16pt]“.. Well, I guess I underpriced this baby ... I don't know **** about this thing (eBay) , as I've always been confused by the process ... my paypal should be OK, though ... include appropriate shipping, please, and I'll ship it as soon as everything clears ... McFish”[/SIZE]

I dont know what the current going rate for one is.. 150 seem fair I guess

this was the first box I picked up when I started collecting in 2005...paid $25 at the time
still have it. nice looking one

Maybe he under priced it a bit but you havn't seen it yet.

If its in good order then yes, it is a good deal, hope it works out for you

I belive this is a situation where the guy posted it on EBAY to sell, then Google searched how much they have been sold for in the past few years and now he's kicking himself. Many have gone for 250/275 ish (plus shipping)

I have found this is the best way to shop EBAY - check often for folks that have "BUY IT" now deals who proably don't know the value of what they have. I bought a JVC M50 for 110 (that included shipping). I'm certain this didn't sell as fast because the seller didn't put the model number or that it was in awesome conditoin in the description.

^ I do the same thing. If it isn't a cheap buy-it-now new listing, I don't generally stick around to bid at the end.

1. Against my better judgement I gave the dude and extra 15 bucks for shipping
2. Dude shipped this thing in a cardbord box with not cushion, newspaper or plastic! Its amazing nothing got broke
3. I must say, the box sounds great. All functions work. There is some rust
