But there are some interesting details.

Look at the 2 meters.
One is for tuning, the other one a scale for the mechanical station presets. :-O

The scaleillumination is only activated, when pressed the manual tuning button.

And there must be 2 speakers inside.

And the pause button:
If you want to fix it, you must push it and slide backwards.
For release pull it towards and loose it :hmmm:

Cool find Roman. That Gundig has some kick ass features. I really like the bass and treb pics on the knobs.
You are the master of finding these rare ones, man. Congrats! :breakdance:

I had a stereo version before. Very nice boombox. That tuning meter is there so you can see where the presets are tuned to. Otherwise, you would be tuning blind. Think of it as a an analog frequency counter.

I own a pretty old GRUNDIG homestereo receiver.
It also works that way!

As usual, a really unique and wonderful find! The switchable two-speaker feature is very interesting. Glad to hear it sounds strong with both speakers on.

Of course, the real reason it's so strong is that the volume and tone controls go all the way to 12! That's 2 louder than every other boombox! :-P (Joke stolen from "This Is Spinal Tap.")
