Ha. She snagged it for $5. I told her to offer $2. She said good lord I gave them the five bucks "it has great sound". I asked how she knew that. She said "she plugged it in and tested it". Oh my. I may have created a monster.

Whatever you find in the wild is worth keeping, in my opinion. Especially if it's such a cool box, at such a bargain price. And you'll get an opportunity to either remove the grills or repair the broken one -- either way, to customize the box. Keep that Panny, I fully subscribe your sister's statement, "it has great sound"!

The Panasonic RX-5150 is a workhorse in Panasonic's arsenal. Great heavy duty cabinet and the controls,knobs,switches feel like it's fully integral to radio. They have a good quality sound production for a medium- mid sized boomer. I think I have the woofers and tweeters(piezo) packed away for an RX-5150 somewhere in my house storage. Great buy! It's a keeper!
