They have actually been my 1st. and main way I play music other than radio which is usually 2nd.! Now if TDK would bring back the MA-R reference tapes back and the XLIIS tapes.😎
Oh and Maxell MX's.

Yeah buddy,Maxell XLII were and are thee cassette of choice for all my recording.Followed by TDK SA-90.A third choice was the Fuji DR-II,all three of course being high bias chrome(Cr02)cassettes.I have Maxell's that I recorded 17 or 18 years ago and they still sound good.Every time I'm in a secondhand store or at a yard sale I always look for them.Just picked up 4 XLIIs's for .50 cents a piece at the Salvation Army thrift store. That made my day,I tell you what.I just have a hard time getting thrilled about MP3's.I like vinyl, cassette's and CD's and to hell with it if that makes me uncool or whatever.I likes what I likes, that's why I'm so glad I found this place.Boomboxery ROCKS!!!!!:)

I checked my library, 1 XL II is loose, i found it from cassette player when i bought one, sounds just great. Another one is brand new one, i was gifted one by my fellow collector, he took it out of the wrapper and recorded some old school music on it with Aiwa XK009 Excelia, sounds just magnificent !
