Im thinking of modding my 777 need help

I am indeed thinking about modding my 777 i have some m90 tweeters and crossovers to go in there.
The reason im thinking of the mod is because once you hear an m90 there is no going back and i doubt i'll ever get another.
My questions are what main drivers can you recommend? (links please) and also what size are the origional drivers in the 777?. any help apriciated thanks.

tim the woofers are 6.5 inch 4 ohm drivers i would suggest speakers with a sensetivity rating of 90 db's or higher ,the higher the sensetivity rating the more efficient the speakers are with the power available ,you might even want to try to find some good midbass woofers for the center and coaxial units for the outer speakers if you get speakers with bulit in tweeters you dont have to mess around trying to modify the tweeter mounts on the 777.

Cheerz floyd i knew you would come through i have had a look on the tinternet but have not found any suitable drivers yet, i did find a perfect pair but they were 8 ohm grrr.

I replaced the side speakers in my 777 with Blaupunkt THc-172's and it sounds markedly better than any of my other radios with the possible exception of the Big Ben, it's easily in the same range/neighbourhood thats for sure. But my original sides were blown so I've no reference point for how the stock speakers sound. I think they look pretty too

I've not heard an M90, so I can't help much there though. Good luck finding some replacements Rimmer!

Rimmer - I have 4 x Infinity Reference car speakers in mine. 6.5" / 4 Ohm / high sensitivity.

Probably overkill as I can't put it too loud through fear of ripping the box apart.

Sounds wicked though.

Not sure exactly what you mean? Simply type - Infinity Reference 6.5" - into Google ?!

There are loads - most are overkill in terms of power and some only have 2 Ohm Imp, so need to shop around. Also - quite expensive. If I was doing it again I'd probably use cheaper speakers to be honest. Just search 6.5" car speakers and you'll find a bundle.
