whats up everyone!
been into stereos since i was a kid. loved my dad's old polished aluminum Kenwood home stereo with the giant EQ and Realistic tower speakers. really got into car stereos and home stereos in middle school/high school. always been a fan of stereo vs. surround sound and dolby and all that madness. nothin better than a good amp and two giant speakers.......then i stumbled upon these beautiful pieces of art.
it all just fits for me. my sharp GF-777 is the most beautiful non-female thing these eyes have ever seen. went to pick it up at the post office and unpacked it in the parking lot......i'll never forget that feeling. i mean im pretty awesome, but that 777 just makes me that much more awesome....right??? just kidding. im not a douche.
bought the 777 from china and all the screwholes are stripped out. not to mention the little chunk of plastic missing on the bottom front panel underneath. what can ya do? i wanted one, now i got one. all the electrical seems to be in working order. a little bit of elbow grease and some help from a couple of the whizzes in here and she'll be good to go.
since then ive gotten a gf-8989, gf-8989II, a magnavox D8443, and my #2....the clairtone 7978. man i love that 7978!!!! just a classic cool and great sounding box!!
lost out on a jvc rc m90 and clairtone 7980 on ebay. i only cried a little bit. i bet it was one of you bastards that snagged em!!!! i'll have to work on my ebay skills......
just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself. down here in louisiana for a few more months then hopefully back home to the brew city, milwaukee WI.
this website is awesome and everyone seems pretty cool and willing to help.

That's a pretty nice collection that you have started too. 
As for the stripped screw posts, search the Restorations or Tech Talk sections. There should be a thread on how to repair such problems.
