I remember visiting the tip shop a few times and seeing all the knobs missing off the stereo's on the shelf, a serial knob picker was at work. I've done plenty of knob swapping myself cant get caught up in trying to find original parts same with aerials.

when i worked at the dump there was someone nicking the cartridge headshells from the record decks..i knew who was doing it but i had to catch him red handed..there was a small hole in our site office wall and i could see into the sales section. and there was two record decks there. he came in had a sly look about then went in for the kill. as he was just about to leave i said hang on a minute. are u going to pay for those. he said how dare u accuse me of stealing. so i said come here and look through this hole. he didn't know what to say..he said i suppose im barred from coming in now. i said no i will let u keep coming in. but just remember. dont ever steal from here again b-coz your stealing what goes towards our wages..and that was him sorted

over the years ive kept all the control knobs off things ive scrapped..ive got hundreds of different ones..but its the same old story. dont matter how many u got. u still cant find the right one to fit

Maybe start a Knob Thread like the Plug Types? There aren't that many types of shafts.

depth on the shafts is the problem..knob either sticks out to much or it goes in to far..and no i dont like em just pushed on half way free standing. i like em to fit as the original ones did
