Hey everyone :w00t: So you have a choice between a Minty GF767 or a minty VZ2000 :hmmm: Both fully working too  Which would you choose

Based on my being in Australia, I'd take a 767 over a VZ2000 any day of the week.

VZ's are one of the single most common boomboxes down here, but a 767 much less so.
Not that they are super-rare down here either though.

But as a functioning, useful and desirable boombox I'd rate the 767 (or 777 for that matter) higher than a VZ.

Rock On.

The 767 will probably sound nicer than a VZ no questions asked but the VZ is in a class of its own (and is the nicer one betweeen that and the VZ2500).
You could have a 777 and its more or less the same as a 767 (yes I know there are differences) and 777's are certainly MUCH more common. I also see at least half a dozen 767's for sale each year.
VZ's are far less common generally across the planet in excellent and fully working condition.
VZ all the way.

the vz 2000 hands down :-P

once you have one of these it's hard to go back to those other tiny sharps even though i have those too .least wise the gf 777

until you actually see a vinyl playing boomer in action you don't know what you're missing .

if you were to smash these two boxes into each other i guarantee the vz 2000 would survive but the gf 767 would be carried home in a dust pan  .

The 2000, without question. If you have some vinyl, nothing beats seeing it spin on that thing. And I'm sorry, but 767/777 etc. are dime-a-dozen.

looked at both and weighed up the points and the choice for me would be the 767

both are great machines, but for looks the 767 has the edge and if you want to take it out then the 767 is a bit lighter

but hey hell if you can get both, then that would be the best :newyear:

Can get a 777/767 any day of the week. I don't even look at any 767 sales...... it would be like a 777 sans a few features.
A minty VZ however.... where you going to find one?

Plus there is a common belief that the 767 would sound better. I don't necessarily agree. The VZ has a deep warm mellow sound that can only be had from huge cavernous boxes and the 767 doesn't sound like that, at least to me.

VZ all the way.

Given the choice, I'd go for the VZ as well...

But in my case, theres some serious vinyl bias goin' on... :dj:
