Hi, new member here, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

I'm browsing at local swap meets and online forums, and keep finding boomboxes branded "Mark" and "Mark Prelude". I think this may a Nordic (or Swedish?) brand that was basically a copy of other brands.

I think the attached Mark Prelude DW 1100 Mini and Slim is a copy of a Sanyo 7900, but not sure. Can anyone confirm?

And the other one attached is just called Mark on the front, and that's all the info I've got on it. Does anyone know more about this unit?

And finally, I've been trying to find out more about Mark as a brand, but so far has been unable to find anything good. Feel free ti share if you know anything about it.

Yes it was a Swedish brand. Sometimes they put the word Prelude on the rear label, I don't know why.

Were there any other photos on that page, with a model number?

Nope. No info and no other angles of the boombox, and the person selling it was selling it for someone else, so wasn't able to look at the back or take any other photos of it.

the thing of found over the years with unknown brand name stuff is that it's built to their specifications and you will find things like the radio tuner will be naff at drawing in signals on the fm band. and the cassette mechanism is cheep build. but thats not always the case. its a gamble buying this stuff. anyway thought id let you know that
