Hey everyone. I bought a red Lasonic i931 btq a few years back. Everything worked great until my wife put batteries in while it was plugged in. It powers up and functions but there is no sound. I dropped it off at a local repair shop. The owner said he can probably repair it but without a schematic he might be throwing unnecessary parts at it causing the bill to rack up. I know it’s a long shot but does anyone have a schematic for these?

I just fixed one there is fault with the Equaliser board it corrodes so it needs to be cleaned up re-sweated. That may not be your problem. These are great to work on it is all modular. Why they used such poor drivers is beyond me. They do seem a bit hit and miss on boot up. Are you running on ac or dc?

The ac/dc switch is what caused the problem. She had it plugged in with batteries in it. Flipped the switch the wrong way and it popped and smoked. The repair guy was hoping to find a schematic to make it a little easier I guess.

if it was run on the wrong voltage chances are it will need a new power supply and new amps etc but i could be wrong, good luck

These have dual winding transformer and can be switched between 120 - 220 VAC sounds like the transformer has been fried or at least the Caps. DC should still work.

I'm not sure your description of the fault is correct. Where did the smoke come from are you reporting on second hand infomation?
