I visited the "BIG Potato" today.

I just got back from a short but great visit today with the big tater himself Joel aka Spud71.
I drove over to his house and was greeted and he took me to the secret JVC hide out where my eyes almost fell out and my jaw hit the ground!
He showed me the best collection of mostly JVC boomboxes and other JVC audio equipment I've ever seen.
Then Joel and I broke out a few units for "show and tell" and WOW is finally got to hear and play with Sharp GF777 a JVC RC-M90,RC-838,The massively heavy Aiwa mini compo system and his NIB JVC RC-550.
Then we had a sound off against the RC-M90 and the ultra rare never seen one in my life! JVC 3090 tv/boombox.
WOW! that was a nice sounding unit,but the M90 won out in the end due to it's sheer size and power. :sin:
I just want to say thanks for a great time Joel and taking the time to invite me to your beautiful home and see and play with some of your awesome collection.

Cool!

That 838 is a pretty decent sized box. Call it a large mid-size.... It appears to be dwarfed by most of the rest of the boxes shown. Seeing that 550 next to an M90 shows just how big that thing is.

I'm glad to see these get-togethers happening!

Yes I never thought very much about the RC-838 until I heard one today.
But I now agree 100% it is a very nice unit.
The RC-550 is a huge! mono for sure,and really LOUD!

that kicks ass guys! the aiwa carry compo is just to damn bad ass i love it, i can understand being a jvc guy its in my blood ,totally wicked scene there. did you like the m90 skippy ,she's a rocker no doubt .

DUDE! the M90 is a total knockout, I loved it. Someday perhaps.......

sweet ! the m90 is one of those boxes that has to be seen to be believed ,it has a life of its own like no other box i have ever seen.
