These knobs are not all interchangeable.Though they look the same from the outside,there are important differences.In the top photo is my 920T in black.Also pictured is the 3 piece LPC990 (below it) and the 931 beside it.

Here are the knobs for each from left to right (LPC-990,920T,931)

The first knob from the 990 is not chromed and is oriented at 90 degrees difference to the 2nd one,the chromed 920T knob.Notice that both have a shaft.The third knob,also chromed,is from the 931 and has no shaft.Further complicating things,The knobs on the standard (non "T" version) 920 are totally different than the ones on these boxes.They are a larger diameter.

The 920T is a nice little box but were manufactured with fake tweeters.Their "decent" sound becomes fantastic with the addition of real tweeters from the standard 920.Though I've never heard a standard 920,I can assume my "T" version with real tweets sounds the same.If so,the 920 must be a fantastic box!

I can't remember...

Was it the TRC-920T that had the fake tweeters? Or was it the regular TRC-920? I recall a thread over at S2G complaining about fake tweeters in one of the Lasonics.

Nice looking box though.

yes i had done a 920t that had fake tweeters but this one has them and it works good sorry but i had replaced the switch on this one so its working good and notice that the kbobs on mine are different and are the original on this box

My woofers are whiter than the ones in the ad that redbenjoe just posted...but that price I suppose mines worth more If I understand correctly,its Interesting that monchitos 920T actually has real working tweeters.Here is my black "T" with the fake tweeters I removed to put in real ones.This could cause confusion on Ebay as to how a box is equipped.

Its always neat if a box was available in different colors.I like this one enough to find another.Hopefully it will be like monchitos if I can find one...at least it should be a proper 2-way model.I've wanted a stock 920 for a while but it seems people go ape over them making them a hard to score.

there are some differances on the regular 920 to the 920t other than the extra deck, at least the black920t came with fake tweeters the silver does have the it.. board layout is different on the t then the non t and one thing which is wierd it only has one mic for record which i thought it was missing but the board which i pulled the switch from came from a black 920t and it was the same, only one i looked to see if in fact there was a loose connection but there was none and no left mic but its a rare box i guess....
