Recently I have developed some really weird symptoms.....

1. Driving past junk on the roadside, slowing down and getting excited
2. Aimlessly wandering into second hand stores looking for anything electronic from the 80's & 90's
3. Ringing parts suppliers, quoting now defunct models and asking for "whatever parts they have left at any price"
4. Purchasing baby wipes, cotton buds and hand wipes
5. Spending vast amounts of time on every ebay site in the world.
6. Asking friends, family, enemies and non English Speakers (great word!) if they have any old boomboxes they don't want.

I am concerned that I have contracted a weird disease.

My wife thinks it could be psychological.

Any clues here, is it fatal?

Yeah what's the issue man? That's like saying we are all sick... :hmmm:

:w00t: :w00t: Ahhh ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Yeah right! Give me a break. You have nothing to worry about sony.

On a side note... I'd keep a close eye on that wife of yours... :smooch: :hmmm: :angelic:

Yea, no sympathy to be had here... :-P

This is pretty much the online home for all affected by that same disease...

Except the baby-wipes and q-tips part. I have a 1-year old so we have that stuff in the house anyway... :-D

Be careful... if you show too many symptoms your wife will devote most of her resources to finding a cure... :nonono:

......and keep in mind this is no rehabilitation site.We here at boomboxery have a mission of fostering, promoting, and spreading this psychological condition. If you feel its unhealthy, keep in mind there are probably good knitting forums out there promoting that your granny should spend hours on her hobby also.... and she probably does...

Don't worry. As soon as you own at least one of every model of every boombox ever made, the symptoms will go away on their own.

Ok cool, so there is a cure, as above.

I will take Boom Shaka Laka's advice to the letter and report my progress frequently

The disease has been known to be fatal to your wallet and sometimes fatal to your marriage.
Nothing to worry about really. :grim:
