It was missing the slider buttons but other than that it looked good. Wonder what a fair price for it would be.

I didn't realize they were so big.! Total beast

He told me it played both sides of the record player and it was working fine.

I was in a rush to meet someone so had to leave. But now I'm thinking about it...

He also had a Lansonic but it wasn't working. Something was blown inside apparently.
And that was cheap.

Price depends on condiiton. Those models are usually all scraped up because of how vulnerable the turntable window is. If it's in mint condition, it would easily get $500 or more on Ebay. If not, figure $200-400.

i would want a kilo of herein for that Steve lol....what amazes me is, people want these only because they fetch big money, years ago people couldn't give them away along with the discolight or discoshite as we used to call it lol

any news on the 767 mate

LOL, Is that right. Doesn't surprise me at all. I was all interested until he told me the price.
I figured we were so far apart that I didn't make an offer.

No sign of the beastly 767 yet Rimmer ,but I bet any day now.
Mail to my area is always super super slow.

$1200?...wowsers. They seem to be more common in the UK so are waaaay cheaper. You can get good money for a fully working one but if the turntable isn’t working they’re much cheaper. I’ve had two (still have one)...they were not working on eBay and pick up only so that drives the price down. Paid £30 for one and 1p for the other...that’s not a typo lol

Those are actually super rare here in Canada. But I would never pay close to what he's asking. It was very big and sure looked cool though.
I have to see him again in a week or so. Maybe I'll make him an offer. Those sliders are all gone on it and I think that's it for missing buttons.

No I didn't try and lift it but I saw it looked heavy. I wonder why it's worth less then the GF777 and 767?
I'm surprised it not a full on super expensive collectable with that turntable system.

It's probably because most people don't own any vinyl, and also it doesn't really look like a boombox IMO

One other reason I believe for the lower cost is it’s so darn heavy nobody wants to carry it plus you can’t play album while being carried. I do know brand new in 1982 they sold for over $1200 which was probably one of the most expensive Boomboxes of its times. Ive owned 4 and sold 2 for decent amount and both were pretty clean and fully working.
