I never noticed before that the 1000 doesn't have the louvers in front of the outside speakers. It really cleans up the design....

Yeah... I know what you mean! Most all my Jap Bboxes, with the Kanji (or Kana) writing, don't/didn't attract me too much either... They are now gone/sold. But, the GF1000 is okay like that, go figure.

What I do like on the Jap SK Pioneer, the SK900, is that all is in English (except rear spec plate)...
