I got a call from my dad yesterday. He told me he had been out running errands and made a quick stop at one of his local thrift stores. While scouting the electronics section, he came across a boombox he thought I would like. Unbeknown to me, he had sneakily called Paula to have her look it up online to get her opinion on how much I would like it. She found a picture and told my dad to definitely get it.
Anyway, from past experience, my dad's luck is usually a "near" hit, but mostly a miss so I wasn't expecting too much. He starts describing it to me and says it has tons of buttons, knobs, and switches - two woofers, two tweeters - complete antenna - battery door... basically in near mint 100% condition. He added, "The damn thing must weigh 30 pounds!"
I then asked what brand and model number. He said, "Well, let see if I get this thing turned around."
*pause and a little grunting*
"Let's see, it's a Panasonic..."
