I guess I can say.. FINALLY DONE!!!

I bought my CEC well over 4 years ago and cleaned her all up inside and out... I also cleaned pots and switches and made a few other repairs. At the time I was new to this and belts in both decks seemed fine so I left them alone. The top deck, being a bear to actually get to belts I didn't want to chance it.

Well today I finally decided to go back in and finish what I started over 4 years ago. I totally cleaned both decks including tires and heads, replaced all belts with new ones I had ordered a while ago I also demagnetized heads for superior sound quality . Since I was back in box I wiped down any dust that was in it hoping I won't have to open her back up for a while Well everything turned out great and both decks are working beautifully. I'm happy I finally got her done

Yeah thanks Joe . I still have 23 boxes left . At least one thing, my boxes show off nicer on shelves and not so crammed up plus I have most of them plugged in to play at any time.

Yeah I was just jamming to some Bryan Adams, Night Ranger, Bullet Boys and Glass Tiger on cassette to make sure deck was working

Yeah, I always liked the CEC's with the 2nd deck below, horns up top & full length tuner window. I could have snatched 1 up in great shape for about 100 bucks on ePay, but didn't have the coin at that time. Yours looks pretty stunning. Question. What's behind the horn apertures? I heard its just for looks but I wonder if you could rig a tweeter & make it a 2-way...

Yes horns are fake but there is room to add tweeter but the full range speakers do a nice job on both bass and highs
