Hi everyone-I just got my 1st. Walkman Boombox last Friday at Goodwill!!
It's in really nice condition and has a cool white sony logo on the handle and has the original "it's A Sony" sticker on the tape deck door!
What's really cool is that it has a line-in (Walkman In) on the front!
The tape deck doesn't work but you can hear the motor spinning-belt issue-fixing soon!
The am-fm stereo works great and I really like it-sounds great for it's size.
It's a Sony CFS-230.
I hooked a Walkman into it and it was really cool-sounds super!!
Photos tomorrow night.
Have a great week-GB. :-)  :surf: :breakdance: :choco:

Hi everyone-Here's my Sony CFS-230 that I bought for .75!!
The deck doesn't work but I believe it's a belt.
When i get some time-I'll fix it for sure!!

This thing cleaned up really nice and was using it outside listening to some FM radio when KISS came on and put it up to about 6.5 and this thing cranks!! Sounds really good for the size.
What's really cool is that it says on the front-Walkman In!! :choco:
It has line-in on the front and hooked up a walman & wow was I impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this little boomer!
Have a super week-Jeff. :-)  :surf: :breakdance: :choco:

Excellent!!

I had one of these when they came out (87-88?) and used her quite a bit, sure she's simple and no powerhouse, but for ease of portability and looooong battery life she delivered beautiufully. It was the third box I'd bought.

One new years it provided the tunes when myself, a mate and a couple of young girlies headed down the beach for some hot times.

I remember seeing in the new year with Run DMC cranking along with a nice bit of seaside girlfun.

Ahh..summer nights..

Rock On.

Wow that radio is SUPER clean! I am surprised at how some of these smaller radios put out clean sound. You don't always need 100 knobs and switches to have clean output.

Glue....you make me think of Van Halen's song (with Sammy singing)
"Summer Nights and my Radio"

I miss living near the beach. I also miss being young enough to be with teen age girls. I also miss my hair, my freedom, my first car, my.....well....you know!
