Sorry for the loud subject-I got really excited. This is the radio show that I use to sit home and record all week every week from 7th grade thru high school. Maybe you can help my new enthusiam for replacing my first ghettoblaster.

WHAT IS THIS MODEL NUMBER?...I can tell you it was a sanyo, it had 2 tape storage doors on the backside and it came with a blue sanyo carrying strap. It is pictured here in these photos, one from 1981? The backside of the Sanyo is seen here in the 11th grade photo 1986. I use to see it on ebay a lot like 12 years ago. I shoulda got when I had the chance. I haven't seen one in a while.

About the radio show, it was the Electrifying Mojo's MIDNIGHT FUNK ASSOCIATION It was the station that jeff mills got his start with his Mix Show as "The Wiziard" Also "DETROIT TECHNO" was helped out when Mojo would play Juan Atkins and Cybotron's early recordings and all the other pioneering electro from Detroit on this show. I wish I had an actual cassette of the mix shows. This Youtube will have to do for now.

That's a Sanyo 9982F, and a box I've been looking for too, so get in line.
Are you from the Detroit area? Or did you live there back then when the show was aired? Edit... O **** your located in flint, my bad, I also used to tape the Detroit airwaves back then, good stuff.

Is that you in both pics??? I wish I had old photos with my box. Can't find any.

Yeah born in Flint i've done a lot of traveling thru the years but still reside in Flint. Flint and Detroit are close to each other so i've been tunin' into the airwaves forever. The other station I use to receive on the Sanyo was CBC's Brave New Waves, simulcasts from Montreal to Windsor Ontario. This was across the river from Detroit. I would receive that signal in Flint. Talk about border radio, it was a crazy uncensored.program. I taped a lot of shows, band profiles and interviews onto cassette throughout the 80's.

The photos are, my brother on the left and me on the right Christmas 1981, the other was me back in 11th grade 1986 (that photo is beat up, i'm lucky to have it with the blaster in the background).
