No! Not at all. 
I am a collector of Tube radios.
You will be amazed by the sound quality of those like SABA, Philips, Grundig, and telefunken high end radios.
I have a 14 tube Saba Frieburg with auto tuning. Two 10" alnico woofers, two 8 inch mid range alnico and two tweeters. That thing rocks!

I was just joking. I'm sure there are ones that stand out but mostly they all look about the same to me. I had an old Blaupunkt that looked like the generic sameness you find & also had 2 old JENSON console floor units that had a 15", 2 x 8" midranges & a jenson horn in each cabinet, with blond & red oak finishes. They were gorgeous & sounded good. Too bad they were sold by my dad when times were tight...
