It is related. James blames his frustration of selling his boomboxes on difficult buyers. That frustration has lead him to trash the gear rather than waste his precious time selling them (what he said, if you believe him).
What we are saying is that BUYERS also have a right to expect what they paid for, right? So, to tie it all together, if James had done his part, there would be no difficult buyers, no problem and he would have plenty of money in his pocket -- way more than $10. In my case, $100. So, if James was encountering frustration, it was frustration of his making. I was not being facetious when I said all could've been avoided had he invested another 50 cents in strapping tape -- I was serious.
Did James trash his collection of boomboxes? I highly doubt it. Was there another way to sell the boxes and avoid shipping hassles? Absolutely. Offer pick up only -- it's done all the time. That way, if you don't care to take the time to properly package and ship a box, then he doesn't have to.
