Used to work for a company that did this stuff with ATV parts to add camo screening to them. The process has been around for awhile. It is neat however and watching old red and yellow Hondas, Yamaha's, and new ones come through the door go out in Realtree was awesome.

I'd say it is.. You've probably seen/felt it in real life and didnt realize it..
I'm guessing the cellphone cases with printed designs on them use this method..?
I think after they pull it out of the tank with the design on it, an activator gets sprayed on it that turns it hard as plastic!

I just checked out my daughters case and think you are right. Couldn't budge it off there and the pattern was not on inside.

I saw women's scarves getting printed this way at the state fair this year, forgot to look into it. Might have to stop in at HydroGraphics and see what they think of doing a Conion

I have a lot of these pieces done on my show car it's the look of carbon fiber.... The wet part is done in a tank with the part .... Next they use high quality clear coat usually 3 or 4 coats . After it drys it's wet sanded with 2000 grit and then polished .... Very cool stuff and much cheaper than carbon fiber
