all i can say is LOUD LOUD LOUD! and good bass the eq does a great job ,typical build quality for later lasonics same as the 975/931 ,the mids and highs also rock on this box .

If you have to question the sound quality on this one then you will have a very small number of boomboxes that even have a chance of being good enough. Build quality is another issue though, these don't have the build quality of the classic Panasonic, Sharp, JVC, etc. boxes but there are worse. If you can pick up a good example at a decent price then it's really a no brainer.

BMoney is currently advertising one (or two) for sale. It's also bigger than it looks. 29 inches wide, or 3 inches wider than an M90.

I just love the way the grill covers for the bass drivers come off if you remove the hex screws.The bolt box has that feature also.

I got one, it's really more "eye candy". Don't buy it for sound quality strange thing though, both cassettes are still working

Yours must be faulty mine has fantastic highs and great lows

Not in the league of an M90, but certainly sounds better than most boxes - especially in the low end - if you know what you're doing...

It's a great box for Hip-Hop!
