Found this place while googlin up a Sanyo M9935K I restored.

I dont restore boomboxes per se - Im equal opportunity - Stereos, tubers, solid state hand helds etc.

Its a hobby for me but we do sell them in our shop

I dont see many boomboxes around anymore - what is a good place for schematics?

Welcome aboard, QD. :-) The Sanyo M9935 was my first boombox way back in 1983.

For schematics, I would try Analog Alley. The guy who runs that website is a member here, Superduper, and he is an electronics genius.
