How many boomboxes came with weighted tuner knobs?

I just bought an old-school analog Yamaha T-1 tuner. It feels so good to spin that tuner knob.... it feels heavy and takes lots of spins to move the needle down the dial. I would like to find a boombox with that same feel.... what models have a weighted tuner dial knob. :hmmm:

Good question and there are a number of them but I can't recall all now, I can name a couple of obvious ones off the top of my head though.

JVC RC-M90
Panasonic RX-5350

No need for "fine tuning" knob on these... they have a very delicate feel. Item of observation is that both of these have the tuner dial on the front, not on the side.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Telefunken Studio boxes have weighted tuner dials as well...

I just spun my M90.... I guess it does have a weighted dial. But... it is not nearly as heavy as the T-1 and it does not continue on its own momentum after you give it a spin. Maybe just a tiny bit.

It probably is a boombox thing.... the tuning would be off once you started moving the box around if the tuner moved too slowly... :hmmm:

Still I would like to find a box with a real heavy feel to the tuner... :angelic:

John the Studio 1M does have that feel when turning the knob.

I've always liked this feature especially if it was incorporated on boomboxes.

It would give that High Fidelity feel to it.
