Hello there, as the general Kenobi would say.
My name is Sebastien, born in 1984 in the north-eastern corner of France. As a kid in the nineties, I spent a lot of time with my uncle and he was constantly fidgeting with electronics, which kinda marked me (even though I'm lightyears away from the level he had). I remember he had a huge boombox in his room, on the top of a shelf. I never had a chance to see it upclose so unfortunately I don't remember which model it was, only a silver color a chrome parts, with a single cassette deck (which doesn't really help much, right?).
So, recently I've decided to acquire, restore and put to use my very first boombox as an homage to this man who had a tremendous positive impact on my life. I found this forum then and thought I could register and ask for advices, but then I changed my mind as I wanted to do it entirely on my own. Now that the restoration is complete, I'm coming back here to join the cool kids club from the eighties
