Question:How do I get a emblem off of my GF-767 back without wrecking it?
I'm talking about the badge that states the model with the serial #.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.😀

I heated it up and used fishing line and sawed through the glue carefully. Good luck

Yup, hair dryer and fishing line, guitar string, a thin bladed putty knife or the like. If it seems really brittle, Goo-Gone the bugger for half an hour to loosen the edges up. It is a foil badge, no?

Yes foil type badge,I'll try the hair dryer and I'll have to look for some fishing line,I'm sure I have some somewhere.
Thanks guys!😀

Hair dryer worked quite well, just used a very small thin flat head screwdriver to lift 1 corner and pulled it back gently and came off great and then the adhesive backing to! All gouod and can be transferred to my 767 so my serial #'s and all match!! Thanks again guys.😀😎

Good to hear ! !
Also on more stubborn & heavier ones, once an edge is lifted I direct the hair dryer underneath as I peel up (on the glue side) tho it can get hot on the fingers. Seemed to make a difference, but it may have been the meds! :-P

I prefer to use a very thin guitar pic to get under the edge of badges, bezels, labels, lenses or anything thin or brittle because the pic has more surface to prevent a bend or stress cracks unlike a screwdriver. You can get assortments at guitar center, best buy, ebay or any music store.

Once I get under it I switch up to a thicker pic for more stubborn adhesives or those 3m foam backings, which can be a real pain. The heavier pics give more leverage when you need it & sometimes can distort foil badges but when used with fishing line or a guitar string it would probably work the best.

The glue is usually dried up after 20 years or so, so once you get it to lift the rest usually peels up effortlessly. My method is to take two pics & walk them along the edge, works well for me.
