Thanks tim hey tim meet tim

I think the big ben is the last box on my want list, least till another comes along  and besides i have 3 m90's who on earth needs three, i know this there is gunna be one chap verry happy i won't give his name because he will announce it but he is only 23, 23 with the loudest m90 in the world, now that is REALY something. :-)

two tim's that are testy   no doubt :-D

i think you would like a big ben...seems top o the line to me, not the walloping bass of a kaboom but very strong and maybe not as loud as the m90 but still very loud and great sounding. (though I have never heard an m90 in person   )

i would rather buy an m90 outright than trade my big ben for one.

besides you got a bunch of m90's anyhow! :w00t:

Tim i only have 2 now my friend besides from what i hear about the big ben yea the m90 is louder but the big ben is better at low vol compaired to a normal m90, i was hoping that when i offered a trade you would have offered your big ben but alas you didn't not to worry i have an almost mint one on the way, im a little concerend though as this member seems to think a tpr 950 sounds better :-/

:agree: Volume wise I think they are pretty close.
If your main thing is a W-I-D-E box then the Big Ben may not work but it's certainly deep and tall.

i heard a brand new big ben the thing sounded bad ass i saw about 30 of these stacked up in pyramids at a swap meet when i was a teenager, i thought the big ben's were great looking boxes kinda shaped like a tv set and hard to carry on your shoulder but still a kick ass unit.

Also worth noting is that as well as the bass, the highs and mids are outstanding on the BigBen.
I would say it goes 'higher' than the M90 when tuned up.

I think they both have very different 'sound personalities', I find the M90 more dynamic and find the BigBen has more more of a sound-stage, especially due it's designed. It takes more effort to balance the sound on a BigBen though, as you have bass control and bass woofer volume control.

Definitely two of the highest quality sounding one piecer's though!

Wow, my mouth is watering over this thread! The B2 would round out my trifecta (yes, I am still under the dillusion that I WILL limit myself to three...) ;-) , those being the D8443 I have, the RC 550 I want, and the B2.

How much do these things go for in terms of cash, good condition?

Your killing me PD, throwing out the trifecta limit.

BB's don't pop up often but historically they sell anywhere from $300 for poorer examples to $600 to $800 for the better ones. Now given the current change in economies all bets are off. :breakdance:

i was sorely tempted tim but didn't want you to be pissed at me when you hate it
really though your m90 is cleaner overall, mine has a couple of little dingers...

i am sure you will like it though, really pleasant sounding box.
