This is the first Kano track I ever heard...

I'm Ready https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95X9BHDgqd4&feature=related

I still have the album I bought in 1979 or 1980... It was cutting edge back in the day, for sure!

Hi Jaetee-I love this song also!
I was listening to these songs and partying with all my girl friends back then-man those were the days!!
Thanks for that-listening to it tonight.
Man with some of the material I have me and you should do a show sometime-even if it's for our Boomboxery friends.
With the material I have and your DJing this could rock!:dj-party: :dj:
You would't believe how much 80's music I have and rare!!
How about Caspers Groove Ghost Show Part 1-4?!!
Have a super weekend-GB.
:-) :surf:

I've got about 3000 records and 350 GB of music, ranging from 70's disco, funk, soul, a massive 80's collection, some 90's and even some current rock & pop. And, of course, a massive house music collection! I could probably play music uninterrupted for several months and still not have played everything!

Hi Jaetee-Man I have to tell you: 2,000 record ,1,500+ tapes and lots of C.D's but only maybe 400 of those.
BUT my main thing is 80's music!!
Man I'd love to listen to music and jam with you someday.
I should give you a list of like 1 box that I open of 80's music.
Got a lot of 70's and yes even some 60's music but not as much.
I have DJ'd a little,mostly for friends.
Yes I have brought records from Germany into 1st avenue -you know where Prine did "Purple Rain" and like nobody can do that!-I knew all of the management and was practically a black card member there.
Fun times!
Have some of Prince's personal demo tapes to!! Yes his!!
I have helped KMOJ with a show once also(Our R&B station In Mpls.)
We should hook-up sometime!
Have a great week-GB. :-) :dj-party:

Wicked! I have an ultra rare "Rogers Nelson" double pack record here released by Paisley Park a long time ago. 2 of the four sides are live recordings... you can tell the music is good but the sound quality sucks ass... (unfortunately) but on the other two sides.... whoa! One is a DJ mix, which I'm pretty sure is Prince DJ'ing 80's tunes. And the other is a rare pressing of Erotic City...

This is one of those rare vinyl finds on eBay. I had it shipped from Germany. $20 well spent!

I remember Kano - I'm Ready..... it was great until "WHOOT there it is" by "Tag Team" used the hook !!! and the radio stations played it out. listen close the next time you hear "WHOOT"....you'll see what I mean.

Same story with The Fresh Prince, oooops, Wil Smith - Men in Black.... another bite on a great hook by "Patrice Rushen - Forget me Nots" AND "George Michael - Fastlove" lifted that killer hook too. all good somgs, just kind of wearing it out.

sampling is kool, to a point. :-/
