Hi all..
Lately my partner has brought to my attention that I've been giving my boomboxes alot of hours per day /week.. Ive got 3 being restored at the moment.
I probably spend about 3 hours a night on them 5 days a week.. I listen to them every second day and while I'm working in the garage on them.
Just wanted to get an idea of how much time members on here spend working and listening to their boxes per day/week...

It's really easy to get lost in the time when restoring a boombox. Make time for family, but also let them know that if you take too much time away from restoring, you will forget what you were doing and have to start over.

I'm the type of person who hates to stop in the middle of working on boomboxes (or anything really), because it never fails that somebody other than me starts moving parts around and stuff gets lost, which really ticks me off.

Exactly
My partner was just making an observation and supports my hobby 100%. I still make time for everything else. Was more just curious how much time everyone else spends on them..
Like what Fatdog mentioned... It's. Sooooooo easy too lose track of time paying with these...
Very very impressed with Dr Dr's efforts!

Same for me, doesn't matter the project. I need to finish it before I forget what the H I was doing.

When I open a radio, it's on until I'm through, food must be delivered to the workshop, bathroom and beer breaks are about the only thing that will take me away!

I prefer to get on and get it done however long it takes but I often leave half done boxes open on the bench until I get more time lol

Well.... My wife think I'm nuts and therefore doesn't fully support me working on them during time I could be spending with her, our girls, or our family.

She works nights though, so.... if I have a bug work on something, I usually have to make it a partial or multi-day project I can do nights she works while trying to play with and watch my girls, or after I get them to bed.
