I've got flyers up where I work to say we take donations of audio tapes, I keep the ones I like an use the rest at work. This has added many, many tapes to my collection over the years but the score today out did any other haul of tapes I've had thus far!

I walked into work today to find a bag of about 60 on my desk. From the 60 the below came home!!

Some real gems in there that got me very excited!! All of the tapes were well cared for and look like they've only been recorded on once, some look unused as well.

They cleaned up beautifully, can't wait to do some recordings on them as soon as possible!!

Rock On.

:jawdrop: Awesome score, you have some real winners in that bunch. The Walkman tapes are  and I love the Akai tape, I've never seen Akai tapes in my town.

Way to go Rick!!!!

Of that batch, I think the BEST tapes are going to be the TDK SA-X & SA. Followed closely by the Denon HX, Sony UX-S and maybe the walkman tapes. Then I'd have to say the Fuji DRII comes next. Not much experience with most of the others.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those slick looking walkman tapes to test for myself. I've only heard from others that they are quite decent. Those are quite rare here and I've never come across one.

I just scored a red/yellow "my first sony" walkman tape player, that is still unused in the original box! One of those tapes would look awesome in it! The walkman is so nice and so new that I'm not going to use it, even thought it plays better than any other walkman I have now. Assuming he shows the right level of interest in music and gear, I might give it to my son when he is old enough. Maybe. :-D
