I met a guy off craigslist, responding to one of my mini ads. He showed me pics of his stereo microcassette recorders. An awesome collection, one red metal one in particular. I think they are a completely different set of collector. For me, my first response when seeing these are -- what's that?

Honestly, there's a Sanyo mini I want that I'd pay that much for. :yes: But then, in great condition, that's how much they sell for anyway. :-/

If it was a regular cassette it might be worth it. Just my opinion of course. :-P :yes:

I had actually tried to convince the seller to end it early for a paltry sum. I imagine he is laughing all the way to the bank now. Crazy. :-/

I bowed out long before it ever got to that price. I will never pay that much for any micro cassette mini, love to have one but not at those prices. :nonono:

I bid $200 on it, thinking I could fly over all the other nickel-and-dime bids. Boy, was I wrong! Apparently, those micros are cash cows. They don't sound that good, so it must be their rarity.

Take a look at the winning bidder's bidding. He even cushioned himself with a second bid. Who knows how much that is?! One thing for sure... he was willing to go higher.

I've been bidding on boomboxes for over ten years, and I still get sticker shock!

I have a mint Pioneer mini (not micro) that would probably fetch that much... Cool, solid minis from good brands are hot right now....
