Isn't this the same model radio that we saw go for over $6,000 about 6 months ago? :hmmm:
I think your correct. But I think that one was in better condition. :angelic:

This is the box you want to find at an estate sale, forget the cheap plastic M90's that barely push a paltry $1,000.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ why though... how much were they new?

I can't remember the price but I know they very expensive when new. I'm sure monchito is correct that it was well over $1000

i'm sure there's people who ask why we pay the prices we do for old obsolete boomboxes. same with arcade machines...and jukeboxes...and pvc anime figures...and etc etc etc. you could ask why all day long but an item's value is really only going to be understood by the collectors/hobbyists in that scene. the seller specifically states that these shortwave radios were made from 1982-1985 and sold for $2900-$3800 new. there's at least 6 bidders to confirm its value.

those were back in the days top gun gear very expensive and basicly all you could do was drool  and after more than 25 years all you can still do is drool

it's got the bids it's in demand...very nice design but too much $$ for ANY radio in my opinion. unless it picks up signals from the dead.
like to find one though :w00t:

If you found one of these you could sell it and buy six m90's!

That's why I said forget the M90's at estate sales I want to find one of these.
That doesn't mean I'd walk away from an M90 but a $6000 dollar radio vs a $1000 boombox is kind of a no brainer.
