hiya

I come across random equipment so i'm hoping to share what i got and what i don't need or want with everybody soon.
so far i'm impressed by the collections I've seen. It makes me want to troll the thrift stores harder.


I picked up a non-box today. Some Hitachi MX-W30 for $9 at a thrift store. No speakers, but there were some next to it that I'm now thinking were supposed to go with it. I tried attaching some cheap speakers to test the Hitachi out with, but i got 4 bass hits that sounded like pops and a burnt out speaker. whoops.

welcome , thats a cool unit :yes: and the price was right , there are many members here who make recordings of all sorts .

Welcome and that Hitachi Opus you have is very nice and very rare. :thumbsup: A great sounding unit! Saw it few times being a military brat. Servicemembers always got to get their hands on good stuff. :yes:

(I should know....I was also in the military and got to do the same! :-D )

i did find my first boom box! sooner than i thought. i will post it in the collections. don't know much about it, but its a Panasonic RX 5100.
The cassette deck doesn't work and most of the switches are sticky, but the speakers are solid.
