Folks, What are your opinons on this boomer. I haven't seen it around a great deal but looks quite a nice style.

Picked it up tonight it sounds pretty sweet to be honest.
Very nice condition.

btw paid perhaps a little more than should have but hey £30 is good for its condition.

hi there i had one-large in size, and large in sound-a fantastic way to annoy the neighbours,well and truly-id say easily hitachi's bassiest boombox ever-and lets face it-hitachi didnt do bass very well :lol:

I have this Piece in reparation progress now. It looks very good, but the sound is like from plastic bucket. Typical boombox from middle/end of eightees.

That's about right, but it not the fault of the main unit, but the cheap way the supplied speakers are assembled. I am looking to improve the one Boobobawobgog gave me by seeing what I can do with the speakers.

I don't think they are bad at all, lets not compare them to very sought after high end boomboxes, for what they are they are fair sounding.

I like mine anyway! - nice one Docs.

I like it. It has that smooth black finish that I like on boxes.
If I had one I would concentrate on those wonderful big speaker cabinets.
I would probably swap out some speakers and add some Dynomat sound deadening material.
I would also add some LEDs but you already must know that by now. :lol:

First post here, love Hitachi boom boxes. A friend of mine back in the day had this one - looking forward to seeing what you'l do with it.
