Hitachi trk 9140 problem

Hi guys can anyone help,i have stripped this mech completely fitted new belts cleaned out all the old grease and reassembled now the play seems to work (no speakers)fast forward lumbers forward rather than fast though it's does do its job but rewind doesn't work with a cassette fitted when tried without both spindles spin which I'm sure is not right.
Would i be right in thinking the clutch mech is no good as I have a spare from a sharp 9191 which looks the same .
Any ideas guys .

To be honest I couldn't find a manual or pics of it anywhere so it's my best guess I'm afraid unless you can spot something wrong?

Thanks at least that's one box ticked now to look for the culprit .

Thanks for the reply that's what I've done but all looks good to me no teeth missing and tires look good and yet something isn't right but what I've no idea at the moment.
