hitachi 8600E ebay find!!! WOW

Got this little box off ebay!!! I was unsure whether to go for it or not !!!as not many people seem to rate it but WOW it's good lovely sound and not bad bass a real top end box with all the features!!! When i bought it the tape didn't work (belts) and volume was crackly but i have sorted them already an easy machine to work on!! this is as found but internals done i'll give it a proper strip down clean once i'm certain it has no hidden problems
what do ya reckon peeps pretty good order eh!!!

Its not really underrated IMO. I know 2 fellow collectors which are after Hitachis. And both are saying this one is one of the best. too. Congrats. Great score.

I love it i have been listening to the M70 for the last few weeks, i normally rotate all my box's use them all the time for a week and just play tapes mostly, but the m70 got me!!! but now i've heard this box it may well become a month job!!!!! It's real nice good all round sound !! LOVE IT

Three-way and six speakers you say? I'm impressed to say the least.

That makes it an automatic winner in my book. My three-way boxes have the best all round soundstage and are my favs. Great score!

Yeah, couldn't agree more... it dos'nt get more classic than this. The only Hitachi i have is the 3D8, but thats a whole different league.

Congrats! It is actually one of the more common Hitachis on Ebay. I see it more often than the other 8___ series Hitachis.

I think Reli's got a point. I have seen these pop up on ebay quite a bit over the last few months......mind you before that not often and after this never again. I would like one though.

Now gave it a full strip down and clean !! got an outside shot near my old mazda truck!! looks good doesn't it!! pity about the knock on the mid range speaker!
